Nature = Evil

So I've had enough of nature and its trickery and general evilness... I went outside today, in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees (according to the real feel -- 109 exactly) to fill up the hummingbird feeders. I went to one out back and what do I see but a feeder COVERED in European hornets, which, yes, are over here in the states. Check them out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_hornet

I'm deathly afraid of wasp things, hornets and yellowjackets (honeybees and bumblebees don't really bother me, since they just buzz around) so I beat a very hasty retreat, as these asshole hornets have also sometimes been in our house. And of course, they're incredibly huge, like an inch long and they're also very loud. So Mom attempted to shoo them away (she gets hornets and wasps away for me, and I get spiders away for her, since I like spiders) but they wouldn't go since they're horrid creatures.

So I went out front to fill the front yard hummingbird feeder (yes we have more than one -- there have been times when we've had over 20 hummingbirds zooming all over our house) and I turn around and this regular black wasp starts trying to follow me because I was near this tree in our front yard and I have no doubt in my mind that, even though the tree is still young, it's full of wasp nests. As I was trying to get inside, I turned around just in time to see a snake slithering away from my wake. Now, snakes don't bother me, but the fact that I couldn't really see it and know where it was and avoid it bothers me. I'm not going outside, at all, until the fucking wasps and hornets are gone and until the yard is cut.
