A desperate woman has an abortion. The poor clinic, with no means of fetus disposal, dumps the unformed child into the ocean. The fetus floats adrift for days, still alive, but very weak.
Then along comes, Alfred, the king of the squid people. Alfred falls in love with the abandoned fetus, which he names Mother, and takes her back to his lair, under the sea.
There, she survives by using her umbilical cord as a snorkel. She dines on clams and sea cucumbers, as the Squid tries to seduce her. Finally she submits when he promises to bring her back to the surface.
Two minutes later, a baby is born. Squid Boy.
Six months later, his mother is fully developed as a human being, but not before sleeping around with an ocelot or two. She bore another child named Emcelot, just as her first son was reaching the ripe old age of nine months.
One year later, while midget ocelot enthusiasts were bringing up Emcelot, Squid Boy was abducted from his mother by a boy band that thought the deformed squid boy would bring them a crowd.
They were wrong, so they sold him to Nickle’s hardware store. There he became a window display for water fountain.
He lived happily for a few years; until he became so human like that law forced the hardware store owner to send him to school.
Squid Boy passes by the years getting good grades, and always being the captain of every sports team… cough. Meanwhile, 40 miles away, Emcelot is also forced to go to school, along with her underage mother. She flunks every class she has, and the sports team will never take such a short ocelot child. They eventually reach high school, but are still separated by 40 miles of wilderness.
Finally Nickle’s hardware store has to close down and Squid Boy is sold to a pet shop very close to where Emcelot and their mother live. They still do not realize each other’s existence, but soon they will be reunited, thanks to Mother’s motherly sense of smell. Squid Boy’s florescent, blue squid hair, gives off a luminous scent, only recognizable by his mother and the FDA. She smells him from a mile away and dashes to him yelling “Son!” She embraces him lovingly, clutching him to her bosom, even though he does not know who she is yet.
She takes him over to a group of disgruntled black-outfitted individuals and proudly states, “This is my son!” He looks at her as if she is crazy, and edges towards the exit. But before he can slide away she grabs him by the arm and makes him listen to everything she has to say. Gradually his face of slight revulsion turns into a face of complete revulsion as he hears about how he came about.
So this is why he has been deformed most of his life, this is why he has faced constant ridicule for his aquatic looks. This is why he squirts ink when he is in distress. At least he has good news. It turns out that he has a sister he never knew. A sister who is half ocelot… HAHA she must get even more ridicule than he does. He has to meet her. FINALLY! There is someone more repulsive than he!
But Emcelot wasn't ugly at all. She only had the faintest traces of ocelot in her, which, if anything, made her much cuter. Her hair was pink and her butt glowed. This, he noticed, was why she always sat down.
So this was his family. He had an ocelot child as a sister and a hussy mother. But depsite his family's shortcomings, he was still a prince of the squid people. Even IF his mother will never tell him that because she is too blonde to remember.
The End
